Family Support Services

Substance use and mental health challenges do not just affect the individual—they impact the whole family unit. At Damon House of New York, we recognize that families need their own dedicated support, healing, and guidance.

Our Family Support Services help loved ones understand the dynamics of addiction and recovery, rebuild broken trust, establish healthy boundaries, and foster a supportive environment for sustainable family healing.

Core Pillars of Family Support

We offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space where parents, spouses, siblings, children, and caregivers can process their experiences and learn effective tools for long-term recovery.

  • Family Education Workshops: Structured educational sessions detailing the disease model of addiction, brain science, trauma, co-occurring disorders, and the mechanics of recovery.
  • Family Therapy & Counseling: Guided clinical counseling sessions designed to improve communication, resolve lingering conflicts, and repair relational trauma in a safe setting.
  • Boundary Setting & Codependency Support: Guidance on identifying enabling behaviors, managing emotional burnout, and establishing clear, healthy boundaries that protect both the family member and the individual in recovery.
  • Peer-Led Family Support Groups: Weekly support circles where family members can connect with others facing similar challenges, share experiences, and reduce feelings of isolation.
  • Youth & Children’s Guidance: Specialized support and age-appropriate resources for children and adolescents living in households affected by substance use.
